Well, my travel buddy left for home and I arrived in Amsterdam alone. I always wanted to travel in Europe by myself. I probably should have been one of those college students who back-packed through Europe after college, but I didn't have the nerve nor the mindset back then. Now I know that I don't have the energy!
Actually I arrived in Amsterdam on the 9th, but was so far behind with the London news that it took me until today to catch up. So the dates on the blog are out of sync. On the 13th, I'm actually heading home.
So...how does a 63 year old grandmother traveling alone spend her time in Amsterdam? In the 3 full days I've been in here, I spent one full day at Keukenhof Gardens (took 600 photos so I'll be editing for a while), one afternoon and evening in the city...mostly in the Red Light District and one day with "Vincent"...at the Van Gogh Museum. Hmmmm. I wonder what this says about my interests. Mornings on the last two days were spent blogging (about London) and, mostly, resting up from all the walking!
More on Amsterdam, along with some outstanding (if I do say so myself) photos, when I get home!
